Among the many wonderful options for pet owners, all Florida State Parks also allow Pet Visitors to enjoy designated areas for nice walks with lots of sights to sniff around and explore! All pets must be on a leash that is a maximum of six feet in length, be confined to a specific area or be under your own physical control. You must of course pick up after your pet and properly dispose of waste. Current Rabies Vaccination Tags are required.

Kids enjoy the pirate ship-shaped playground and look-out tower overlooking Jolee Island's pines and magnolias, while parents stroll the perimeter and relax on an occasional porch swing. |

Dog Friendly Beach in Panama City Beach |

| On October 11, 2007, the Panama City Beach City Council voted to establish a dog-friendly beach for residents and visitors alike to enjoy. Bay Families with Dogs assisted the city by donating a pet waste station for the beach as well as paying for the servicing of the station.
The area is on city property to the west of the Dan Russell Pier, at the southern base of the new Pier Park shopping center. This exciting addition to the area will mean that a pet-friendly corridor now exists from the beach up through Aaron Bessant Park at Pier Park, and across to Frank Brown Park and Gayle's Trails. |
